My rating is only based on joining as a free, not paid, member.
Therefore, the reason for leaving all 3--star (neutral) ratings. So forgive me if you think I'm misleading anyone reading here or those on the site. My main reasons are to expose some things about dating sites in general. Of course, that number I have investigated is limited considering there are thousands.
But 3 are mentioned here.

First, on Mega Friends there's a young couple on the front page. Yet, the female in the photo is very similar to a profile online. What's puzzling is that her photo/profile is repeated one after the other with different ages and Usernames. Why? An how can the administration miss this fraud? Also, some profiles have 2 different ages in the opening paragraph. Many of the younger women had ages in the 40s or higher. Is this used to attract more men and ultimately, more money?

That's what these dating sites are created for, money, leaving many scammed and/or indirectly robbed of their money. Many who trusted the sites as real - real people and profiles. This is why most reviews of sites I have "studied" are heavily one-star complaints. Dating sites are one area the government must hold accountable.

This is subjective: I only found about 6 women who were attractive. Much of that is because my age range search was 35-55 and photos were often of less quality. I sent each a message, not sexual but maybe a little more than 'you look great'. Then I remembered classified ads.com Personals (now removed) where sillier and cheaper women, in my opinion, got hundreds of views; numbers posted. (And the monitoring there was worse). They may have posted their ad 6 months ago and updated it. With so many views, how many guys sent messages? Same problem with Mega Friends - and that without knowing how many views. Who knows if she ever reads it? So I gave up. It's the same on ADS encounters. Same ads and photos posted when revisiting years later.
Again, after several messages, no responses. Why would I expect women who likely get hundreds of hits to respond?

I only had a photo occasionally on the first two sites and only briefly. Most low reviewers of various dating sites agree most are scams. Women are often free to join because men outnumber them 4, 5, 10 to 1? The sites can't recruit enough
women. I think (and in one case, know) there are workers at computers answering messages aimed at a photo and profile of someone who interests you. An, sadly, that is fraud.

In summary, I would not recommend Mega Friends to a friend.
