As the name indicates, using FastCupid should be a speedy process, but not for the right reasons...
On first inspection Fastcupid.com doesn’t seems pretty innocuous, albeit dull. There aren’t many options to choose from other than upgrading your account, performing a search or adding more information to your profile and so much of the time your experience feels lacking, as though there ought to be more to do than there is. But there isn’t anything more there so don’t get too paranoid.
A lack of features and membership is what cripples this as a dating website. We performed a very broad search for matches in and around a major UK city and received only 22 results, 17 of which had no photo whatsoever, and the remainder of which we couldn’t be sure were active members. If you do decide that someone catches your eye then try emailing them. No, go on. You can’t. In fact you can’t really do anything until you’ve paid for the service, other than search for people and send a generic “hi”. But let’s assume you’re really really keep and so are willing to pay for the upgrade. So you’ve paid your fees and it’s time to send that important message. Great, it’s done! Now sit back and wait. And wait. Yes you’ll be waiting a while because members cannot respond to messages unless they are paying as well. You can get an additional upgrade so that anyone (irrelevant of their membership) can reply to your emails, but then it’s almost as though you’re paying for someone else’s services.
Maybe we’re being too grumpy, it seems as though FastCupid.com offers very little in the way of securing you a date, but is happy to take your money at every turn. Are there any positives? Well, the sign up process is fairly painless, “fast”, in fact, and there is a “personality type quiz” which might be a bit of fun if you’re into such things.
There’s little to like about this dating site. It’s expensive and the chances of you getting a date are very slim indeed. Its members appear to be genuine but when there are so few of them they’re unlikely to be using the site much and unless they’re paying for the service then you’ll not hear back from them. With so many dating sites to choose from we would recommend looking elsewhere. This cupid has lost his arrow.
