Bad:

I discovered recently that Zoosk has been misleading their customers. It appears that if you have not deleted profiles in the "Who Viewed You" section, and merely skimmed through those photos without actually tapping into them, Zoosk will automatically forward a message to the the owner of these profiles alerting them that you have viewed their photos. I find this an unethical way of conducting business. I have voiced my opinion to customer service only to be told that it is a minor technicality. I feel that it is an issue only because it can be misleading to someone whom is genuinely interested in getting to know you. I would have never known about this "minor technicality" of theirs, if a member on Zoosk had not accused me of viewing his profile several times without ever making any effort to chat with him. The odd thing was, I never looked at this individuals profile other then to reply to his message. As far as i am concerned, these automatic alerts are an embarrassment and an inconvenience. I had been on pof and tried everything, i finally was able to attract decent pictures to my page by writing to them first about their interest and how i matched,no takers. Im using this as an example for date sites and i will get to zoosk. first off these sites are for women to choose who they want,its window shopping for "just looking" women.Also its entertainment as their curious about what people have to say. Its kinda unnatural way to meet someone for a relationship as it lacks the surprise and majic element that starts a romance.Sometimes people dont quite look like their pictures because of jestures and aging picture where they look thin but gained weight a few years later in the face since they wont show a body shot.

I went to zoosk wrote 6 emails no return. So i thought i would just start winking. I got a wink back i got real exited to write, but i couldn't as i was not a member.So i kept winking and got winks from everyone and they wernt even on line.wait a minute thats imposible because if i was a woman and even if i like... Zoosk search function never worked for me when I select ages below 28. If I enter ages 21 to 25,it only shows 28yrs old. If I enter 25 to 35 it only show 28 to 35.
Zoosk has not posted an email for questions, so to find out what the deal is with their faulty search there is only a phone # to call.

In summary, I would not recommend Zoosk to a friend.

There is always something to be said about the numbers but even then it boils down to quality over quantity. What irks me in particular is that for a while they were tossing their virtual currency my way in hopes that I'd sign up and get their membership plan. Pretty clever, right? Well, you can't "spend" it any longer nor give it away, and here is the new catch, without spending real money to give away the funny money. What's up with that?! So I'm staring at hundreds of coins and no way to even gift them to someone. I also like to look outside the pigeon hole they like to jam you into. Who doesn't want the opportunity to meet someone outside of your area? Am I right? Well now they've tightened even that up to the point you have to get moderator approval for even changing your location in order to search for folks! To hell with that! I'm cancelling my membership today.

I subscibe to Zoosk for one month and I cancel my subsciption due to fact it not worth the money. I sent message to people and never got a response for them. It not worth the time and money. To me they were fake profiles.

This dreadful web site is run by chimpanzees with keyboards. The profiles are mostly DOA, copied from other web sites to give you the impression that people actually use this thing. Don't waste your money. Chances of getting a date are zero or worse.

Actually, this web site may hurt your chances of getting a date outside the web site. If you are literate, the profile editor does not publish your writing with paragraphs separated or line breaks. So, forget about being poetic or literate. This is actually technically easy to do, so it shows that the site was programmed by idiots.

Like other personals web sites, it has the lowest form of scum on the web known as censors. Humor is strongly discouraged. It's odd that this thing is advertised on the Onion. It would be more appropriate to put it in Church Weekly or Prudes Periodical. Not that I want to be nasty but they won't even allow you to say when your profile is due to expire.

Once you realize you have no control over your own content the best way to rid yourself of this annoyance is to go to Settings (up top), cancel your subscription, delete your photo,... (Read the full review)
