Editor's Verdict:

So is Love Access just another copycat dating site, or are there some different and interesting things happening on-site? Our trial membership indicated that LoveAccess is a second-rate dating site: it has an inactive membership base and very limited features for free members to try. So we can't recommend investing time or money in LoveAccess.

Getting registered proved simple yet tedious. There were quite a few checkboxes to get through but the process was straightforward. While there's a temptation to just breeze through this registration process, it's best to take your time and get it right the first time as this will have a direct impact on your potential matches. If some characteristic about a potential mate is important to you but you accidentally check the box for 'not important', this will be reflected in the members' traits that you are matched with.

When performing a search as a free member, you're given some basic parameters but most of the search criteria will have been entered by you in the registration step. Our search turned up more than 230 members all from within a 15 mile radius of our location (Orlando, Florida). That high number of results may not mean much, however, as we noticed that the vast majority of these members hadn't been logged-in to the site for over a month. This suggests that those members may have lost interest with LoveAccess and moved on. We must give credit to Love Access for placing the "last online" information in a prominent position, right on the members listing, as some sites make you dig into the last section of the members profile (if it's even available) to see when members were "last online".

Our benchmark search brought up 10 members' listings, 7 of which had accompanying photos. That's good a good percentage of photos but the baseline from which we're starting (10 listings) is likely to be too low to be fruitful. The listings gave some good information regarding the member: username, age, location, how far that location is from us, last visit. There was space for each member's by-line (this was just enough to get a glimpse of what they're about). Clicking on the member's username or photo brought us to the Profile / Photos section.

The photos were good and about average size. We could only view the listing photo as a free member (regardless of whether or not there were other photos posted). Also, we couldn't enlarge the photo. That's not the way to win new paying members in our view. An upside of the that lengthy registration is that there is a lot of relevant information about the member for us to peruse. The information is well organized and easy to take in. There's a member's essay about their personality and what they are looking for in a relationship. This profile section is well done.

For new, free members, Love Access is typical of the lower echelon sites. It offers very few features for free members to try out. There is no e-mail access at all, so new members are blocked out of participation in the site's live contact features. You can "show your interest" but we're not really sure what good that will actually do you. We advocate policies of limited inclusion for new free members as it helps to build confidence and an active membership on-site.

So, in conclusion, LoveAccess doesn't deliver much for free members. It seems to have a stale membership and doesn't provide good value for money. The membership is small for an International site which will severely limit any dating options you may try to get. The site features some good technology but do you want to give away thirty bucks to find out the technology works nicely but you can't find anyone you want to meet? If you want to increase your chances of finding someone suitable, then we suggest that you check out our top 10 dating sites or even a couple of the 100% free sites we reviewed (yes, they aren't all bad). Those sites should deliver some fruitful leads, in return for your time and money.
