Signed up just to check it out, you are given an annoying walk through to click the blue lights...loads of pop up ads on their site even though pop up blocker is on. You can search or play that stupid carousel but if you hit MAYBE instead of no or yes....it apparently sends it off to the other party that YES YOU WANT TO MEET THEM! WTF??? Definitely not liking that. I am not a paying member, wanted to try it out first,...not staying, glad I didn't lose any money with this piss poor site.

In summary, I would not recommend Zoosk to a friend.

It never surprises me how people get frustrated and feel there is something underhand going on when things don't go their way or if a dating site doesn't instantly deliver. I have used quite a few dating sites over the years and have found 2 medium term partners that way. Zoosk can't deliver; no site can. Only the individual can deliver. Yes there are a some fakes on Zoosk (there are on all site) and there are some idiots and weirdos too - male and female. The 'view' scenario on Zoosk happens because people generally browse, and in browsing they browse many profiles - repeatedly - either those on-line or via the search facility. Just because someone browses past you several times it doesn't mean that they fancy the pants off you (or that they should because they are somehow supposed to). I've found some really good looking women on Zoosk - with fantastic personalities. But it's not a walk in the park, it never is! Please don't waste your money!! I paid £25 for one month's membership and it's the worst dating site ever! Use ok cupid instead. It's free.
Zoost is so difficult to navigate. You don't seem to be able to delete any alerts.
It shows you potential dates and ask if you want to meet them but you can't see their profile or photos that way so difficult to decide!
You can buy coins to buy fake gifts!! How cheesy is that!
Awful site!

In summary, I would not recommend Zoosk to a friend.

If you want to search it shows that you viewed each profile, even though you did not. I had men telling me to stop looking and chat. I never opened their profile once. I wrote to tech and was advised that is how the site works and there is no way to turn it off. I am so sorry I wasted my money.

In summary, I would not recommend Zoosk to a friend.

I joined it 2 days ago. Wish I checked reviews fist. Very poor quality of people first. The site makes the experience so juvenile . You pay coins to meet people. You use coins to send fake chocolate , wine, hearts etc. You have to buy coins. The worst part of it is they cheat. I talked to a few guys their profiles show they have received such gifts from others but they told me no. So it's a scam to make you spend money and also think you need to keep up with your competition. I made comments about coins in my profile. They edited it! I only signed up for a month but you should not spend a dime on such a site.

I am trying to figure out how to get OFF this crappy scamming Zoosk site!

Unless you want to pay lots of money you cannot meet anyone and need to buy "coins" to read or reply to messages, look at whole profiles or pics or accept chats...

For 3 days I have tried posting "I am leaving Zoosk so please do not message me or waste your money trying to chat with me because I can't even see your messages" and whoever is approving ads deletes ALL that despite the fact it does not violate any written Zoosk rules...

In other word you have NO right to free speech and you can't even say in your own profile you are leaving without that being deleted for no reason!

I have met NOBODY here not even chatted to one in over 3 months... save your efforts for a site like POF, OKCupid or Meetme.com at least you have a chance there... once I leave Zoosk I will never waste my time there again!

Zoosk has lots of fake/old profiles that have automated message responses that send you replies such as 'thanks for the wink, please message me and tell me more about yourself" This tempts people to pay for full membership, which is more expensive than other more genuine sites, and then never hear from these women again, because they are automated robots, that don't exist .

Secondly the "who viewed me" function is fake. You receive pop up messages saying so and so has just viewed your profile.Users will view your profile several times over different days,indicating they may be interested in you.However , after messaging these users with no reply, they still continue to view you prolifically.It turns out that when you use the general search function , everybody that you are presented with in your search criteria receives a message that you have just viewed them. When you browse the list of users who have viewed you, they receive a message that you have viewed their profile.When you delete somebody you are not interested in , they immediately view you again ,they receive a message that you have just viewed their profile when in fact you are trying to delete them!

To keep this short and to the point:

1. Unable to upload photographs of my own choice that meet the Zoosk criteria. Instead, I was constantly being offered to use my Facebook photograph instead, despite having deleted the Zoosk app from my Facebook account.

2. Despite numerous communication with "Customer Support" about the issue described in point 1, I have never had ANY response.

3. "Customer Support" consists of an email option, and a number which offers you the option of leaving a
voicemail which is never responded to.

4. I found that winking at "members" generated an automatic message response from them that comes in
three varieties. Shortly after, the "member" would appear online and view your profile. This to me
suggests that these "members" are being paid to appear as people who are registered for the purpose of
seeking a person to date. When a message is sent to these "members" there is NEVER any response.

5. I exchanged messages with a person who had their location set as London, yet who was actually living
in New Orleans !

I had been a paid subscriber to zoosk for a few months when all of a sudden I am blocked by a zoosk administrator. I also received an email from them saying sorry to see you go as though I had cancelled my subscription. This all took place over 3 months prior to my paid subscription being due. I have sent dozens of emails to them asking for this problem to be rectified with not one reply. I then opened another profile and emailed them many more times still no response. I kept writing them messages in the "about me" section to see again if I would get a response.....still nothing. They were obviously reading these messages as they kept rejecting the content. So they owe me 3 months subscription fee and for that I will write bad reviews wherever I can. Use Plenty of Fish instead as it offers the same for ZERO dollars. I urge everyone who has received nothing but ignorance from Zoosk to advertise this wherever they can....also spread the word to use a competitor. Remember POF :)....Zoosk :(

I have had a free membership for several months and decided to get a 1-month membership. Upon paying the monthly fee, this site then wanted to bill me an additional $25 to set-up my account. What kind of bs is this?

So I cancelled it. I then read further into their so-called easy payment plan and found that their site does automatic rebilling. I hate that!

To me, this site is all about taking your money. My advice is to stay away! There are better free sites out there that are 10000x better than this site.
